MyGTCS, our digital platform, is used by teachers across the whole registrant journey: taking them from Provisional Registration to Full Registration, through Professional Update, and as they take on roles as supporters, reviewers and observers, all on one universal platform.  

It is where you will update your contact and employment details throughout your teaching career. It is vital that you keep these details up to date.  

You can also carry out tasks related to your registration in MyGTCS, for example:

  • Update your name on the Register of Teachers
  • View your registrations and download your certificates
  • Confirm your Professional Update
  • Request recommendation for full registration, as a provisionally registered teacher or on any additional registrations
  • Extend any provisional registrations
  • Let us know you have fulfilled any conditions on your registration

Learn to use MyGTCS

We launched the new MyGTCS platform to all registered teachers in July 2026.  

Most fully registered teachers will have experience of using the MyPL platform, which we have now phased out. We have built the functionality of MyPL into the new MyGTCS. It looks and feels a little different to ensure that the same platform can be used for all your career.  

MyGTCS works on desktop, tablet and mobile.

We have designed the platform to be intuitive and easy to use. Please take some time to familiarise yourself with it.  

It includes a ‘Resources’ area, which is available any time registrants need to learn more about the platform, or to refresh their knowledge.
