Minimum requirements for Teacher Induction Scheme profiles

Interim 1 (August to January)

  • IPDAP - Minimum of 1 entry in each area of the Standard for Full Registration (Being a Teacher in Scotland; Professional Knowledge and Understanding; Professional Skills and Abilities)
  • 12 supporter/mentor meetings (one per week)
  • 5 observed teaching sessions
  • CLPL - 2 entries in each of the 3 areas of the Standard for Full Registration (Being a Teacher in Scotland; Professional Knowledge and Understanding; Professional Skills and Abilities)
  • PDAP - Minimum of 1 entry in each area of the Standard for Full Registration (Being a Teacher in Scotland; Professional Knowledge and Understanding; Professional Skills and Abilities)

Outcomes

There are three possible outcomes from your interim report. Your headteacher can mark your progress as:

  • Satisfactory
  • Unsatisfactory; or
  • Cause for Concern

If your progress is identified as Satisfactory, you will progress directly to completing a Final profile in January to June.

If your progress is identified as Cause for Concern or Unsatisfactory, you will be asked to complete an Interim 2 report in January to March followed by a Final profile between April and June.

Interim 2 (January to March)

You are only required to complete Interim 2 if your progress at Interim 1 is identified as Cause for Concern or Unsatisfactory.

  • 3 observed teaching sessions
  • CLPL – as Interim 1
  • PDAP – as Interim 1

Final profile

Following Interim 2 (April to June)
