Minimum requirements for Teacher Induction Scheme profiles
Interim 1 (August to January)
- IPDAP - Minimum of 1 entry in each area of the Standard for Full Registration (Being a Teacher in Scotland; Professional Knowledge and Understanding; Professional Skills and Abilities)
- 12 supporter/mentor meetings (one per week)
- 5 observed teaching sessions
- CLPL - 2 entries in each of the 3 areas of the Standard for Full Registration (Being a Teacher in Scotland; Professional Knowledge and Understanding; Professional Skills and Abilities)
- PDAP - Minimum of 1 entry in each area of the Standard for Full Registration (Being a Teacher in Scotland; Professional Knowledge and Understanding; Professional Skills and Abilities)
Outcomes
There are three possible outcomes from your interim report. Your headteacher can mark your progress as:
- Satisfactory
- Unsatisfactory; or
- Cause for Concern
If your progress is identified as Satisfactory, you will progress directly to completing a Final profile in January to June.
If your progress is identified as Cause for Concern or Unsatisfactory, you will be asked to complete an Interim 2 report in January to March followed by a Final profile between April and June.
Interim 2 (January to March)
You are only required to complete Interim 2 if your progress at Interim 1 is identified as Cause for Concern or Unsatisfactory.
