Our response:

We have provided this information in the tables below. Please note that this reporting is based on the registration year for GTC Scotland which runs from April 01 to March 31 of the following year.

By way of advice and assistance, you might be interested in an Insight Report on our website as well as reporting on teacher conduct referrals. Additionally, our Disclosure Log shows previous responses to freedom of information requests with a search functionality for public use.

Please note that, to provide you with information from 2016/17 under Table 3 we conducted a search and do hold records related to your request. We consider that these will need to be interrogated individually. Due to the time and resources, it would take to do so, we have determined that section 9(1) of FOISA would apply. See our detailed Fees Notice below:

The number of records identified by the search: 202

Actual cost of staff time at hourly rate of member of staff: £15.00

Number of hours required to complete the search: 202 records at roughly 5 minutes per record for a total of 16.83 hours

Total cost: 16 hours multiplied by £15.00 per hour = £252.50

Less first £100 = £152.50

Amount chargeable (10% of total) = £15.25
