Response
We refer to your request for information (FOI 25-26/059) dated 15 January 2026 which we have handled under the Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002 (FOISA).
You asked:

Please see our response to your questions below.
Firstly, there were 189 open conduct cases as of 19 January 2026.
Of these referrals, a total of 97 were received more than a year ago. We have attached the dates of these referrals as “FOI 25-26-59-Records" accompanying this response.
As of 19 January 2026, there were 7 individuals in full time employment as regulatory investigation officers under the fitness to teach process.
