Full request
Please provide the number of fitness to teach referrals received by GTCS each year from 2024 to 2025, broken down by source of referral (e.g. employer, member of the public, self-referral). Additionally, please provide the number of cases that proceeded to a hearing in each year.
Response
Between 1 April 2024 and 31 March 2025 we received 226 conduct referrals:

Between 1 April 2025 and 13 October 2025, we received 143 conduct referrals. Of these:

Cases that proceeded to a hearing
Between 1 April 2024 and 31 March 2025, there were 3 full conduct hearings held.
Between 1 April 2025 and 13 October 2025, there were 6 full conduct hearings held.

You have 40 working days from receipt of this response to submit a review request.
