I taught my subject elsewhere in the UK (or overseas). Can you consider this service?

Yes, we will consider teaching service provided we can obtain confirmation of your employment from your nominated referees via our Confirmation of Employment form. This form will be sent to your nominated referees when you submit your application.

We are unable to consider the following types of teaching service service towards the probationary service requirement:

• voluntary service;
• teaching assistant/language assistant posts;
• nursery/early years practitioner posts;
• private tutoring;
• after school classes/clubs;
• service given as part of your student teaching practice;
• service given before you qualified as a teacher.
