Introduction to Film Education

Film, and the moving image more broadly, are central to the lives of young people, and our Introduction to Film Education course develops the knowledge and practical skills of participants to be able to embed film in their practice and reflect on the ways film can be embedded within Scotland’s Curriculum for Excellence. Designed for teachers at both primary and secondary, as well as educators and filmmakers in informal education settings, the course introduces to the practical and theoretical knowledge, and research methods, to begin your journey in film education.
