As part of a system-wide review of school inspections, HMIE put out a public consultation on what is working and what improvements are needed for school inspections in Scotland.
While the consultation questions are largely focused on the operational aspects of inspection, our comments relate to the purpose and focus of HMIE and the role of inspection and how GTC Scotland and HMIE can work together to embed teaching standards.
