Response
I refer to your request for information (FOI24-25/100) dated 18 February 2025 for “the details of an outcome of a hearing that you had uploaded to the site during 2022” involving a “male” who “was not removed from the register but reprimanded instead for sending emails instead of in-person communication with colleagues” which we have handled under the Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act (FOISA).
We requested clarification from you on 19 February 2025, specifically, the name of the registrant if you could provide it. You replied on 07 March 2025 that you did “not recall the name of the male teacher” and were unable to provide any further details to assist with identification.
Please note that, under section 1(3)(a) of FOISA, a public authority may require “further information to identify and locate the requested information” as was requested and received from yourself. Without further information, we are unable to locate and identify the requested information and are unable to respond substantively.
By way of advice and assistance, I can explain that we have searched our available records based on the limited information provided, in order to determine whether we could comply with your request. However, due to the way in which we record our cases, without any further information we are unable to identify and locate the requested information.
If you are dissatisfied with this response, you may contact informationgovernance@gtcs.org.ukto request GTC Scotland conduct a review of it. You should describe the original request and explain your grounds of review. You have 40 working days from receipt of this response to submit a review request. When the review process has been completed, if you are still dissatisfied, you may use the Scottish Information Commissioner’s guidance on making an appeal to do so.
