Scenario

You are a fully registered teacher of Primary Education who wishes to gain registration in Secondary (Subject) Education and you already have the subject academic study.

For example, you completed a postgraduate teaching qualification and have an undergraduate degree which includes the subject study.

Your registration

If you currently hold Full Registration in Primary Education and are actively teaching, you could add Provisional Registration in Secondary (Subject) Education.

What you need

1. Access to supported opportunities in the secondary school context to enable you to demonstrate you meet the Standard for Provisional Registration in Secondary (Subject) Education  
2. A school leader to confirm you meet the Standard for Provisional Registration in Secondary (Subject) Education
3. Coaching and mentoring as part of induction activity in Secondary (Subject) Education to enable you to demonstrate you meet the Standard for Full Registration.  
4. A school leader to observe your teaching and confirm that you meet the Standard for Full Registration in Secondary (Subject) Education.
