GTC Scotland has responded to a Scottish Government consultation on revising the guidance on appropriate qualifications and teacher competencies for teachers of children and young people who are blind or partially sighted, deaf, or deafblind.
Our focus in responding to the consultation was on the practical implementation of this guidance and the need to ensure that the roles and responsibilities with regard to the status of the qualification and who sets them are clearly thought out.
