I refer to your request for information (FOI 25-26/023) dated 25 June 2025 which we have handled under the Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act (FOISA).

You asked for the following:  

1. The total operational budget of GTC Scotland in the Financial Year 2024/25.
2. The total headcount of GTC Scotland in the Financial Year 2024/25.
3. The total FTE number of staff employed by GTC Scotland in the Financial Year 2024/25.

We have provided the requested information in Table 1 below as data extracted on 27 June 2025. These values include Value Added Tax.

The total number of staff employed by the General Teaching Council for Scotland between 01 April 2024 and 31 March 2025 was 85 employees. During the same period, the total number of full-time employees was 83.
