We maintain a Register of teaching professionals who meet our standards, and we have clear and transparent processes to investigate those who fall seriously short of them
On 31 March 2023, there were 81,903 teachers on our Register. This is an increase of 7,606 from 31 March 2018, when there were 74,297 teachers on it.
Our Register is at the highest level it has been in more than 10 years.
