Reinstatement of the Main Scale Rate for Teacher Supply Work

Registrants who are considering supply teaching will wish to be aware that the SNCT Pay Agreement for 2017-18, confirmed on 18 December 2017, includes an agreement that the rate of pay for short-term supply teachers is restored to the individual’s appropriate point on the main grade scale, with effect from 1 January 2018. This means that all supply teachers will be paid the appropriate point on the main grade scale, regardless of the duration of the cover.
