GTC Scotland recognised for rollout phase of MyPL

GTC Scotland has been recognised with a Project Delivery Award by Connect, Holyrood’s public sector ICT event.

The award recognises the work undertaken for MyPL development and national rollout, which took place between May to December last year. The roll-out followed a planned three-year pilot.

MyPL is an accessible system for teachers to record and reflect upon their professional learning.

The service has its foundation in direct feedback from teachers and trade unions based on the outcomes of surveys, focus groups and Discovery Days.

Continual improvement

MyPL is still on a journey of ongoing improvement; direct feedback continues to be a central component in development. Ongoing improvements are being made to improve user experience such as development of an autosave functionality.
