    Grades?

    Hello all!

For some reason, during the end part of my ITE at Uni, I remember being told that all probationer teachers achieving the SfR are 'graded' in some way. Now, I havent heard anything else on this since beginning the induction year, so I'm unsure whether this is true or wether I completely made this up in my own head!

I hope all are doing well and here's to a sucessful new term!

    Craig.

I thought that if you met the standard, that was it. No grading beyond that - just that one hurdle to leap. I could be wrong of course, wouldn't be the first time :)

I'm a Chartered Teacher mentor of a probationer and the grading is solely Satisfactory as far as I know. However, the 'powers that be' do select an "outstanding probationer", so someone must be applying some sort of 'grading' ! Gail

As far as I'm aware you are interviewed by the authority near the end of the probationer year and are given a rating

     A1, 2, 3    B1, 2, 3    C1,2 or 3

which is then added to the rating from the school based on the same school.

    Hope this helps
