Hello, I ticket the box for teaching and have been placed at Ardrossan Academy in North Aryshire. I am excited about moving across, however I have actually never been to that area in my life. I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions about where a nice area to live is and or is looking for someone to live with next year. Thank you in advance for any advice. Kathryn

Considering you ticked the box that is a very good result. It's a nice school and not far from Glasgow or Ayr for shopping etc.

As for the accommodation I would just keep looking on the internet and you should find something. Do you have a car? You could live in Kilmarnock, Troon, Prestwick, Largs, Saltcoats.

Hi Kathryn, I live in Saltcoats and I've been allocated Largs Academy which is just a few miles up the coast from Ardrossan. We'll be on the same induction scheme. What subject do you teach? I teach Biology and Science. I'm heading up to Largs this afternoon for a visit. You could check the local paper (Ardrossan and Saltcoats Herald) for local properties to let, however Ardrossan Academy is only about a 5 minute walk from Ardrossan South Beach Station, so you have lots of options!
