SERA Practitioners' Conference Day

The Scottish Educational Research Association (SERA) Practitioners' Conference Day is being held on Saturday 29 November 2008 from 9 am until 1 pm at the Royal George Hotel in Perth.

Who should attend?

The programme is of interest to teachers, youth workers, social workers, parents and all concerned with the provision of Children's Services in Scotland.

The programme includes sessions addressing:

  • Policy implementation for:
    • 'Determined to succeed'
    • Schools of Ambition
  • Research findings for:
    • early years
    • social capital and young peoples choices and chances
    • science and technology education
    • gifted and talented students
    • multi-lingual students
  • Opportunities for emerging researchers

Certificates of attendance will be issued for teachers if appropriate.
