The Registration Fee

Teachers registered with GTC Scotland are required to pay an annual registration fee. From 1 April 2010, this will increase to £45 per year and cover the period from 1 April 2010 to 31 March 2011.

The fee for teachers re-registering with us is £55.00, which will increase to £60.00 from 1 April 2010.

Payment of fee

If you are employed in either a permanent or temporary teaching position on the 1 April, it is likely that your annual fee will automatically be deducted from either your March or your April salary, the deduction should be evident on your pay advice slip.

If you are not in a teaching position on the 1 April, the GTC Scotland will send you an account for payment detailing various Methods of Payment available to you.
