The Teaching Council (Scotland) (Legal Assessor) Rules 2006

The The Teaching Council (Scotland) (Legal Assessor) Rules 2006 (this is a link to an external website) set out the role and functions of a Legal Assessor at hearings of the Council's:

• Investigating Sub Committee
• Disciplinary Sub Committee
• Professional Conduct Committee
• Appeals Board (in reviews relating to interim suspension, reprimand and conditional registration order)

The above rules should be read in conjunction with the Conduct, Competence and Disciplinary Rules 2006.
