General Code of Practice

The General Code of Practice (pdf) provides information on the main functions of the Council, including:

• maintaining and enhancing the quality of teaching
• providing advice on requirements for entry to ITE
• enhancing the status and standing of teachers and teaching and professional conduct of teachers

It also includes information on how to run a cost effective organisation and how we will develop staff within the organisation.
