GTC Scotland Consultations

The Council undertakes consultation with the teaching profession and with other educational stakeholders and responds to national and other consultation exercises in order to:

• fulfil one of its key functions which is to advise Scottish Ministers
• contribute to national debate
• develop policy on improving the quality of teaching and learning, and maintaining and enhancing professional standards in the public interest
