The Framework for Professional Recognition/Registration (pdf) sets out various routes to achieving professional registration, those for Primary teachers, those for Secondary teachers and those for fully registered Further Education lecturers.

Primary Teachers

To be eligible for Secondary Registration an FE lecturer must be fully registered, have completed two years of FE teaching service since gaining that and have a degree which includes 80 credits in the secondary curriculum subject they wish to apply for. in addition to that you must have gained CPD for the secondary age group (12-18).
