Professionalism and Conduct

The Council's Code of Professionalism and Conduct sets the standard of conduct expected of all registered teachers in Scotland.

This section of the website offers up to date guidance and information to accompany the code. Regular updates will be posted here, including articles from Teaching Scotland giving information on the types of cases being investigated by the Council and other important information regarding the Council's disciplinary process.

The Conduct matters area provides information on situations which have already been brought to the attention of GTC Scotland and indicates how certain issues can impact on an individuals position as a registered teacher.
