Deferral Requests

Probationer teachers wishing to defer after entry to the Teacher Induction Scheme need to request a deferral which is then considered by our Assessment Panel.

Deferrals to the following year will only be considered in exceptional circumstances.

If you wish to defer, please read the TIS Deferral Policy Instructions and Guidance and complete the TIS Deferral Request Form (MS Word 28 KB). This form should be returned to:
