Career education support

Save yourself lesson planning time by tapping into Skills Development Scotland’s careers expertise using My World of Work’s classroom resources

There are activities, articles and subject lesson inserts all designed with teachers to help pupils relate what they’re learning in the classroom to the world of work.

The resources support the development of Career Management Skills and meet a range of Experiences & Outcomes in Building the Curriculum 4, support the delivery of the ‘I can’ statements defined by the Career Education Standard and help when preparing reports for How Good is Our School reviews. There are also tools and resources for primary school pupils and their teachers.

You can also find out more about the services professionally qualified Careers Advisers offer in every state secondary school in Scotland.
