This Month at GTC Scotland

An overview of some of the GTC Scotland activities and initiatives taking place during July and August 2010, including external events taking place throughout Scotland and internal meetings at Clerwood House.

Refurbishment works at Clerwood House

Clerwood House will be undergoing some essential building works commencing on Friday 2 July. This work should be completed by Friday 13 August. During this time, internal staff will be moving to other areas of the building which may cause a slight delay in answering phone calls and emails.

Probationer CPD celebrated

Probationer teachers undertaking a range of Continuous Professional Development projects have been recognised by the General Teaching Council for Scotland.

National Lecture 2010

Annie Lennox will be delivering our National Lecture on 19 August 2010 at the Scottish Parliament. For the first time, the lecture will be held as part of the Festival of Politics. Annie will cover issues relating to her work raising awareness of HIV and AIDS in Africa.

Annie will also be meeting with teachers and pupils from across Edinburgh's secondary schools on 20 August to share the message about Global Citizenship, HIV and Aids.
