Around the Country

Council Meeting of The Teaching Council of Ireland
1 December, Galway, Republic of Ireland

Mairi McAra, Professional Officer (Early Professional Learning), will be attending the Council Meeting of The Teaching Council of Ireland.

University Student Talks

Mairi McAra, Professional Officer (Early Professional Learning), will be delivering a presentation to university students on their final year of teacher training. Mairi will discuss what to expect on the Teacher Induction Scheme and how to meet The Standard for Full Registration (SFR).

The student talks will take place on the following dates:

• 3 December - University of Stirling
• 8 December - University of Strathclyde
• 11 December - University of Aberdeen
• 12 December - University of Glasgow

At the GTCS

There are a number of internal meetings taking place throughout December, these include:

• 3 December - Disciplinary Sub Committee
• 4 December - National Assessment Panel

Visit from Chinese Delegation
8 December, Clerwood House

A delegation of Chinese Educationalists from Beijing will be visiting GTC Scotland on a fact finding mission to learn more about the workings of GTC Scotland.
