National Assessment Panel

Remit

The National Assessment Panel considers submissions by teachers of a claim for the award of Chartered Teachers via The Accreditation Route.

Candidate submissions are assessed by two independent assessors from the National Assessment Panel.  All assessors are approved by GTC Scotland.

It is the Assessors role to:

• look independently and comment on the submission
• discuss their conclusions and agree a set of questions to ask the teacher
• meet the teacher to discuss their submission and evidence
• recommend whether they have achieved the The Standard for Chartered Teacher to the National Assessment Panel
